Scams
.

You may have recently received in your letter box a Government sponsored leaflet warning you of scams to be avoided.

We hope you read the leaflet and did not throw it away as more junk mail.

Some of the points mentioned are:-

  • Scams trick you into giving away your money or personal details

  • Scams come to you in many forms – by mail, email, telephone, over the internet and door to door

  • Scams work because they look like the real thing.

There are no guaranteed get-rich-quick schemes – the only people who become rich are the scammers.
